DEPECHE MODE 1986

DEPECHE MODE

 Black Celebration Tour / Birmingham N.E.C. 1986

Finally getting back on track. So many great shows so few hours in the day!

The latest show to get the Relax & Swing treatment is a DM Black Celebration gig from the Birmingham N.E.C.

Recorded for Japanese radio, the show is Depeche Mode as they properly joined the big league.

The  mood is darker, but the songs still have the band's trademark pop sensibilities, with plenty of catchy licks and harmonies that drill into your sub concious.

Given the band's bigger ambitions and following, it's surprisingly hard to find decent recordings from this tour - but I reckon the Birmingham recording, though not perfect, is probably the best.

The selection of tracks are mainly from the latest albums (at the time) so it's a more modern sounding show than our earlier DM CDs - but I think you'll enjoy it!

We're aiming to pick out the best shows from all Depeche Mode's 80s tours so keep an eye on the site for more soon.
